wh0 is henry Johnson?

Henry Johnson was Dr. Isom's Great Grandfather. He owned a huge home in the Hough area it was 5 floors and had 10 bedrooms (8 upstairs and 2 on the first floor). He began to help others when he retired in his 60's. Until his death, at age 94, he provided housing and other services in his home to those in need. Many of those people stayed with him free of charge. Dr. Isom inherited his home and continued to provide services to the community. Later, she officially incorporated the "Henry Johnson Center" and began to secure funding and other resources. Mr. Johnson passed away before the center received approval. However, he was alive long enough to provide many great works and to change many lives!

what's the history of the henry Johnson center?

The Henry Johnson Center was founded in 2004 by Dr. Angela Isom. Dr. Isom wanted to create healthier families, especially in the Hough Community. She converted a home in the Hough area into a group home and a community center. The center offered tutoring, mental health counseling, workshops, food and clothes donations, book clubs, and field trips for families. Sadly, the home was vandalized several times and had to be closed. This resulted in nearly $200,000 in loses. Nevertheless, the Henry Johnson Center prevailed! The center was moved to Cleveland Heights in 2007. The number of clients quadrupled. Lives were changed and families were helped. However, in 2010, Dr. Isom realized that many of the clients were still living in poverty despite the fact that their families were stronger because of our services. This led to the creation of the Henry Johnson Academy. The Academy (high school) has helped over 1,000 low-income students to return to high school and go off to college. Again, in 2016, the center expanded. We realized that there was a need for a more student friendly post-secondary training center in Cuyahoga County. Therefore, we became approved as a State of Ohio Phlebotomy and Medical Billing & Coding training center. Contact the Henry Johnson Center today. Let us assist you with your goals, plans, and dreams!
